Virtualization/Server Consolidation

The costs associated with maintaining large server environments has transformed into a living, breathing energy and cost-drainage. Small and medium-sized businesses that are seeing their cost of ownership skyrocket due to operating data centers and server rooms are turning to virtualization for a needed fix.

Our expertise in virtualization can create new value from your old hardware investments to drive increased productivity and improve your ROI.

THROUGH SERVER CONSOLIDATION AND DESKTOP VIRTUALIZATION, YOUR BUSINESS CAN:

  • Cut its dependency on hardware

  • Create floor space

  • Curb energy usage

  • Realize cost savings

  • Fully utilize server capability

  • Open storage capacity

We have the resources to help you migrate to a virtual world. Our team is comprised of two VMware VCPs and IBM Certified specialists.

VMware Capacity Planner

Before starting the next virtualization phase, our team of VMware experts will work in tandem to set up your virtualization roadmap. By leveraging VMware capacity planner, you will have a complete view of your IT resource utilization—and how it can change following server consolidation.

VMware capacity planner brings keen insight for maximizing the full capabilities of your IT infrastructure.

VMware VDI

Persistent VDI offers each user a unique desktop that can be saved for future use. Nonpersistent VDI provides a standardized desktop environment that reverts back to its initial state after the user logs out. VMware Horizon 7 is the leading platform for virtual desktops and applications. Provide end users access to all of their virtual desktops, applications, and online services through a single digital workspace.

VMware vSan

Hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) is the natural evolution of server virtualization. Powered by an integrated software stack, it delivers all key data center functions—compute, storage, storage networking, and unified management—and runs on industry-standard servers, enabling a simple building-block architecture with scale-out capabilities. With virtualized and software-based resources, companies can dramatically increase efficiency, improve flexibility, reduce TCO, and see a unified view across the data center. Additional capabilities like network virtualization and advanced management can be added and administered from a single pane of glass. vSAN helps customers modernize their infrastructure with the leading HCI solution. This new release of vSAN is important because it:

  • Delivers the first native HCI security to help customers evolve without risk.
  • Lowers the total cost of ownership for enhanced stretched clusters and through intelligent, one-click operations.
  • Optimizes performance for new applications and all-flash hardware platforms, allowing customers to scale for tomorrow.

Microsoft Hyper-V

Microsoft Hyper-V  delivers enterprise-class virtualization for your datacenter and hybrid cloud. Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2016 provides new and enhanced features that can help you deliver the scale and performance needs of your mission-critical workloads.

The Windows hypervisor technology in Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2016 is the same as what's in the Microsoft Hyper-V role on Windows Server 2016. It is a stand-alone product that contains only the Windows hypervisor, a Windows Server driver model, and virtualization components. It provides a simple and reliable virtualization solution to help you improve your server utilization and reduce costs.

Hyper-V specifically provides hardware virtualization. That means each virtual machine runs on virtual hardware. Hyper-V lets you create virtual hard drives, virtual switches, and a number of other virtual devices all of which can be added to virtual machines.

IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server

IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server software enables early and frequent testing in the development lifecycle. It removes dependencies by virtualizing part or all of an application or database so software testing teams don’t have to wait for the availability of those resources to begin. Combined with Integration Tester, you can achieve continuous software testing.

IBM also provides a new bundled offering under a new consumption model that changes the way you can use and deploy DevOps software. The new offering helps simplify your planning for adoption and growth of IBM DevOps products. Read more in the solution brief below.

Linux Virtualization

Through our Linux virtualization strategies and solutions, we are able to help you successfully abstract your operating system or the entire platform itself.

We offer a variety of configurable Linux OS solutions, each tailored to meet your unique hosting and user requirements.

XenDesktop

Desktop virtualization has taken the business world by storm. Instead of managing individual desktops and applications, data center managers can set up centralized virtual connections that empower users to access data from any device, anywhere, anytime.

XenDesktop is a virtual solution that mobilizes a workforce that cannot stay chained to their desks. XenDesktop supports the delivery of:

  • Individual Windows
  • Web and SaaS applications
  • Full virtual desktops

Whether you are traveling to a client site, setting up a conference meeting, or working from home, XenDesktop will keep you connected on laptops, thin clients, Macs, PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

XenServer

For sever and data center automation and consolidation look no further than XenServer as your turnkey virtualization solution.

XenServer is a comprehensive virtualization platform that can support secure integration, migration, and management. Moreover, XenServer is cloud compatible—giving you even more freedom to expand your infrastructure scalability or host applications in the cloud.
